My Final Task






This is my final task. After what felt like forever I am DONEE!! I hope you guys are able to enjoy what I was able to make with the help of a few of my friends. Creating this has helped me improve in the area of editing as well as hand placement and such.

Today, I started to edit my commercial. My commercial was focused on my champion backpack. After creating the storyboard and acting out I was prepared to revise what was recorded. Editing is required to make media look smoother when transitioning from one scene to another. I took a lot of shots, so I was aware that much editing was required. I spent rougly forty minutes of class time on my phone adding and removing scenes where I believed were necessary. Near the end of the class I realized that something was wrong. It was not the fact that the commercial was not done. The format I was using seemed to be the issue. The video did not look as good as it should have. Imovie was not the right fit for me. Before I could dig myself into a deeper mess, I decided it was time to look for another app to edit with. Scene 1 -There is a black scene that fades into an establishing shot of a house with a window. -The camera zooms in the window. -The zoom leads into a fade of the next scene. Non-Diegetic Sound: Birds chirping Lighting: Natural lighting Scene 2 -As the scene fades in, there is a girl sitting at a desk writing inside of her diary. -Crystal (V.O.): "Dear Diary. Title Design Research: (Thriller) 30 Days of Night

  1.      How many titles are displayed during the opening sequences to the film? Which ones? I counted fourteen titles this time around. I am starting to feel unsure as to am I counting the titles correctly. When I read the requirements for question one I thought the answers would be around 3-4. Lately I have been getting ten and over. I am a bit worried that I am counting extra credits. The credits I saw in the opening film were screenplay, screen story, produced by, executive producers, director of photography, production designer, editors, actors, music by, co-producer, casting, visual effects supervisors, production company, and unit production managers. In all honesty I started to see assistant directors and things along those lines so I stopped. That was definitely too much for me to add to the blog. 2.      What connotations do the images carry?
