Scene 1

-There is a black scene that fades into an establishing shot of a house with a window.

-The camera zooms in the window.

-The zoom leads into a fade of the next scene.

Non-Diegetic Sound: Birds chirping

Lighting: Natural lighting

Scene 2

-As the scene fades in, there is a girl sitting at a desk writing inside of her diary.

-Crystal (V.O.): "Dear Diary. At first I was simply numb... then all the emotions came flooding in. Grief was not something that was taught to me. I long for just one more hour. It has been 7 months, 3 weeks, and two days..."

-The scene fades away as Crystal voice fades out.

Non-Diegetic sound: Voice-Over

Lighting: Dim-Lighting

Scene 3

-Establishing shot of cemetery gates that display the name of the location

-Pan shot of outside of the cemetery

Diegetic-Sound: Somber, Instrumental song

Lighting: Bright, natural sunlight

Scene 4

-Trackshot of a car driving into the established setting

-Low angle of steps people getting out of the car make

-Jeanette:*Looks at watch to check time*

Diegetic-Sound: Somber, Instrumental song

Scene 5

-Grounds of Cemetery

-There is a group of people gathering around a gravestone for what appears to be a remembrance ceremony

-Ciara:*Tears up on gravestone*

-Michelle:comforts Ciara

-Micah: *Ahem* "Greetings everyone, we are gathered here to remember the grande life of Emmanuel."

-Jeanette:*Looks at watch again to check time*

-Cole: "What is she doing here?"

-Gabby: "Who" 

Cole: *Points to a mysterious person isolated from the group who is showing respect*

-Gabby: "Umm I don't know"

-Micah: "I don't want to keep you here too long, thanks for joining us and take care"

-Everyone starts heading back to their vehicles

-Cole bumps into a mysterious figure [Teagan]

-Teagan: "Not everything is as it seems"

-Cole notices the person dropped a paper. He does not mention anything because the person gives off strange vibes

-Cole grabs the paper and it reads "Do not look back" with a key taped to it. He then looks off into the distance and watches the guy walk away

Non-Diegetic sound: People making conversation

Lighting: Natural sunlight

The couple thinks firmly as they think of what's at stake of turning their backs on their home that is full of memories and feelings. This movie often displayed close-ups. Using close-ups, we could see the emotions of the character that was on screen. Establishing shots in this movie were found in the beginning of the scenes. Their purpose was showing where the scenes is filmed and to give the viewers an idea of the time and place this is occuring. The costumes were simple outfits that you would see in normal times. Title Design Research: (Thriller) 30 Days of Night

  1.      How many titles are displayed during the opening sequences to the film? Which ones? I counted fourteen titles this time around. I am starting to feel unsure as to am I counting the titles correctly. When I read the requirements for question one I thought the answers would be around 3-4. Lately I have been getting ten and over. I am a bit worried that I am counting extra credits. The credits I saw in the opening film were screenplay, screen story, produced by, executive producers, director of photography, production designer, editors, actors, music by, co-producer, casting, visual effects supervisors, production company, and unit production managers. In all honesty I started to see assistant directors and things along those lines so I stopped. That was definitely too much for me to add to the blog. 2.      What connotations do the images carry? We're almost there

   Hello everyone! It has been a while since I have come around this block to update you guys on what is going on. Lately I have researching different ways I can improve my final task. I can recall what felt like yesterday choosing between two fantastic pitches. One pitch was about an escaped robber hidden amongst teenagers hanging out at a local mall. The other pitch was about a tragedy is reported by a girl in her diary and how drama unfolds. Despite my efforts to go with the first one I had to go with the second. As a high school student, with no source of income I was unable to fund my activities or any projects that may have come my way. Of course I would be able to buy a camera that is necessary because the camera would last me nearly a lifetime. As well as it would be a one time purchase instead of continuous payments.
